{Friday Musings} Fabulous Fitness Survey - Frisky Lemon Nutrition

I saw this Fabulous Fitness Survey over on Carrots and Cake and because it?s Friday Musings and I can do whatever I want, I?m going to answer it.

1. What did you eat for breakfast?
breakfast This? is pretty much what I eat for breakfast everyday: eggs, greens and a pickle. The grain-free blueberry scone is a special Friday sweet treat.

2. How much water do you drink a day?
I don?t really pay too much attention to how much water I drink. I make sure to drink one liter around a workout, but otherwise I might drink a few glasses throughout the day along with some coffee and kombucha.

3. What is your current favorite workout?

I love me some heavy lifting. I guess Crossfit is my favorite ?workout,? but within the Crossfit sphere, I like any WOD with heavy cleans or box jumps.

4. How many calories do you eat a day?

(Blech. I don?t like this question, but I?ll answer it). I?m not really sure. I don?t count calories on a regular basis. When I do count calories, it?s really to make sure I?m eating enough food. I probably eat anywhere from 2000 to 2300 calories a day.

5. What are your favorite healthy snacks?

Chicken liver pate with plantain chips or baby carrots, pickles or a piece of meat.

6. What do you usually eat for lunch?

Lunch for me is usually dinner leftovers over greens?with a pickle. I?m kind of obsessed with Grillos pickles.

7. What is your favorite body part to strength train?

Legs. Squats. I like squatting a lot.

8. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?

Chest? I?m not a huge fan of bench press and stuff?probably because it?s my weakness.

9. What are your ?bad? food cravings?

No such thing as ?bad? foods.? BUT I do sometimes crave grain-free cowboy co cookies for a sometimes sweet treat.

10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?

photo

Yes! I take fermented cod liver oil/butter oil blend, some liver herbs, brewer?s yeast and the occasional fish oil.

11. How often do you eat out?

We eat at restaurants probably three times a week? usually on Friday night and Saturday night and take out salads with meats one other time during the week.

12. Do you eat fast food?

No.

13. Who is your biggest supporter?

I have SO many supporters? my family is incredibly supportive. My biggest supporter is my boyfriend, M, but my mom, dad and sister are a close second.

14. Do you have a gym membership?

Yes-ish. I workout at Crossfit H2O, where I also do Nutrition Counseling, and I workout in my basement, which is a pretty sweet set up.

I try to make it to the gym two or three times a week, but with my evening counseling schedule, it?s sometimes hard to make it to classes. On those days, I?ll workout in the afternoons in my basement.

In total, I workout 5 days a week, with a double session on one or two days a week?because I?m insane and I love working out.

15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?

8 to 9 hours.

16. Do you have a ?cheat?day?

No such thing? Or everyday is a ?cheat? day.

17. Do you drink alcohol?

Yes. I do. I like NorCal Margaritas and coconut ciroc with raspeberry lime seltzer. And hard cider of any variety.

18. Do you have a workout buddy?

Yes! I have a few. I workout with M and my sister a bunch at Crossfit H2O (they?re also members?it?s a family thing). I also workout with Coach J once a week?but mostly we just recite Arrested Development quotes and laugh at each others? nerdiness.

19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?

I?ve always lived what?s been conventionally considered a healthy lifestyle?eating ?right? and exercising. When my lifestyle moved more toward Crossfit and Paleo/Weston A. Price, the best thing that has changed about my life has been my relationship with myself. I?m much nicer to myself than I used to be. More forgiving. More appreciative. More loving.

20. What was the last healthy thing you did?

Chester

I took my crazy dog for a walk. That?s my cardio for the day ;)

What?s the last healthy thing you did?
